Two Views of the Grasshopper

These two shots give a good sense of the scale of the SpaceX VTVL Grasshopper test vehicle. The first was taken from the top of the McGregor development facility’s 280 ‘ water tower,  and tweeted by Elon Musk.  The second, close up-shot was posted on the company’s Google Plus page, and gives a good look at the very robust construction of the landing gear. It also puts the recent 17’ high test hop into perspective.
